We are on a bit of a roll! Here is the review of Betrayed, the second book of the House of Night series by P.C. and Kristen Cast, from my youth! Last time, we were with Zoey and had a somewhat spoiler free revelation of what was going on in the House of Night! Zoey's story is just continuing as she is still learning how to work around the "fledgling thing." I don't have much to say on this other than that. This is obviously a continuation of last week's transcription, so I hope that all of you will enjoy this! Spoilers of course, I didn't have much of a filter back in the day.

It seems that (un)life is going pretty well for Zoey Redbird. She's settled in at the House of Night finishing school and is coming to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her. She even has a boyfriend ... or two. Best of all, Zoey finally feels she has found somewhere she belongs. Then the unthinkable happens.
Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the vampires at Zoey's school. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's past life, she begins to realise that the very powers that made her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night. Zoey finds herself facing a betrayal that could break her heart and jeopardise the very fabric of her world.

Her ex-boyfriend, when it said two boyfriends... her ex-boyfriend, as I said in the last video, Heath is coming back to like... he wants her back... but then there's Eric, the one she truly loves. There's always that issue to resolve... And the things that are killing the people, these are all people from Zoey's old life when she was a human... and things keep pointing back to the House of Night 'cause they think the vampires are, everybody knows about vampires, they all think it's the House of Night, but it wasn't, sort of.
Eric and Zoey get together. Heath is still kind of stalking her... she became the leader of the Dark Daughters, Aphrodite got kicked out. She got kicked out. When it said a person died inside the House of Night, Stevie Rae... Stevie Rae dies, she doesn't make the change but... other people in the past, haven't been able to make the change either. But they don't actually die, that's a problem. Neferet... she actually "brought back" the vampires "back to life," they're like zombie things now, they're not even like vampires anymore. Those were the things that were killing the humans. Since things became so serious, the detectives and police get involved... Neferet says that Aphrodite's visions have become wrong... which is lying, she's lying, and Neferet is betraying the Goddess Nyx.
When Stevie Rae dies, she's given this potion, Neferet gives her this potion, which Aphrodite tells her not to drink because it will erase her memories about Stevie Rae, so that she doesn't feel any remorse. Aphrodite knows 'cause she had a best friend named Venus that died and she was given the same potion. Aphrodite was given the same potion and she forgot everything about Venus and she slowly started to remember again. In the end, Zoey saves Heath... she saves Heath in the end again and she sees that Stevie Rae and the others are zombie things. People from the House of Night, even from before, ten years ago, are still alive. They were supposed to die... Neferet even imprinted on one of the fledglings...
The powers that Zoey has, she has the affinity, control over all the elements: spirit, earth, water, fire, and air. Shawnie, one of the twins, she has fire. I think Colie, the other twin, had water. Damien had air and... Stevie Rae had earth. Stevie Rae comes back to her senses after she talks to Zoey a little bit, after becoming a zombie and she comes to her senses a little bit and she remembers Zoey! She doesn't try to kill her, like everybody else is... Nobody knows tha Stevie Rae is actually alive except for Zoey, she's actually keeping it a secret 'cause she's gonna go back there and try to save Stevie Rae 'cause Stevie Rae was her best friend.

Thank you all for reading this post and all the transcriptions in the past! I was no the most eloquent when I was younger and it most definitely shows! To those who actually watch the videos afterwards, I commend you very much. I do highly recommend the House of Night series, it is a very well written vampiric romance for young adults and a sequel series actually released for it withing the last five years or so, which is recent to me. I can't wait to actually read through this series again and actually finish it this time due to the series' completed status. Thanks to all of you who read my ramblings, hope you'll return for the next one!
