Book: A Baby for the Mountain Men by Chloe Kent (A Baby for Them #2)

A Baby for the Mountain Men by Chloe Kent is the second book in the A Baby For Them trilogy. This book takes on many of the same characteristics of the first book, from certain events and scenarios. Our main girl is Soraya Arlington, shunned and shamed by her family, with no friends to call her own, her fate lies with the mysterious men in the castle in the mountain. Promised to them by her father, when she was young, to settle his debt to the men, Soraya had always known her fate, as well as the rest town...

Soraya's mother had passed when she was young and she had just her drunkard of a father to rely on after that. An event happened, that she was never told the details of, consisting of three men saving her father's life and he was indebted to them. Her father promised her to them when she turned 21 years old she would have their baby and they took the deal. Soon enough, everyone in town knows about her fate and she is avoided at all costs except for her family, who shame her from the way she looks to the way she dresses. Soraya has no one but herself to rely on and trust...

(SPOILER WARNING! START)

So, things start off with the day Soraya is to go away to the castle in the mountains. Her grandmother shames her and her cousin, Tina, shows her some explicit video of a woman with three men, not enjoying her experience. The video frightens Soraya some but tries not to let it show. The car to come get her is finally here and no one from her family, not even her father, come out to see her off.

When she arrives at the castle, it seems old and rundown, as if it wasn't in use. She is directed to a study where she meets the three brothers: Logan, Noah and Archer. They doubt that she is who she says she is because their stepfather had given them a photo of Tina! They thought Tina was Soraya! They lay down some ground rules for Soraya and soon enough she is sent to her room. The next morning, she has a medical exam, to make sure she is healthy and such to be impregnated. They find her a little thin but nothing some food can't remedy. That night is when things begin for Soraya...

As time goes on, the boys start to become fond of Soraya and her of them, but no one will tell her how they saved her father's life, the life debt being the reason she is there. Soon, Samuel, the boys' stepfather reveals himself and tells her the whole story, shattering her world. Samuel tells Soraya that her father killed his pregnant 21-year-old years ago in a car crash, drunk driving, and that the deal was when his daughter turns 21-years-old, they would get her to become pregnant so that he can have his grandchild that was taken from him. They "saved his life" by not sending him to prison. He then reveals that when the child is out of her, Soraya will be left in the castle to rot by herself, all alone, with no one to turn to.

Soraya is in tears. Samuel reveals that the three boys were in on this plan the whole time, to take revenge on her father, and demands she take a pregnancy test. The boys come home at this time, cussing up a storm because for them, things changed. Soraya is absolutely heartbroken and heads upstairs to her room, to start packing, tells all of them that their plan failed because her father hasn't cared for her since her mother died many years ago. Samuel had since left and she tries to leave as well. The boys proclaim that she belongs to them and they will follow her to the ends of the earth.

After all the craziness has died down somewhat, they make up, proposing their love for her and they are all engaged. Later, Soraya is heavily pregnant at this point, and goes grocery shopping, sees her family and talks with them. They are disgusted that she was pregnant from the three men and she didn't let them get to her, she didn't care, because she loves her three mountain men.

(SPOILER WARNING! END)

This story was nice. I enjoyed Soraya's story that set her apart from Scarlet. A lot of the events that happened with the brothers were the same from the first book so while they were slightly predictable, they were still enjoyable. I recommend this to those who enjoy polyamorous relationships and want to read something a little more mature.

My next book review will be the third book in the trilogy, A Baby for the Bratva and I cannot wait to have that up for you guys! Thanks for reading!
