Manga: Tail of the Moon by Rinko Ueda

Tail of the Moon by Ueda Rinko is a series I could not put down! I had originally read this manga way back in either middle school or high school and loved it enough to reread in recent months. This is a charming manga, depicted in the Tensho era of Japan, is about ninjas. Momochi Usagi is the great-granddaughter of the head of the Momochi clan, an elite family of ninja, but despite this fact, she’s still doesn’t have her qualification to be a ninja. Her great-grandfather, Momochi Tanba, sends her off on her first assignment, to marry Hattori Hanzo, one of the highest ranking ninjas in Iga and the handsomest man as well, and bear his children!

Manhwa: Snow Drop by Choi Kyung-ah

This manhwa, a Korean manga, is an epic love story, where love conquers all, literally! Choi Kyung-ah did a fantastic job with this title and I personally would love to read more by them. Snow Drop is about a young teen named Yoo So-na who lost her mother some years ago. So-Na’s mother had a nursery for flowers and now So-na has taken the responsibility of taking care of it because it’s where she feels closest with her mother. Along with a book her mother wrote about flowers called “Snow Drop,” too. Due to her mother’s death she didn’t feel well enough to go to school anymore until now. Her best friend, Jang Ha-da, ends up at school with her, where she meets Oh Hae-gi. Once they met, nothing would go back to the way they were...

Manga: Pearl Pink by Meca Tanaka

Pearl Pink by Tanaka Meca is a cute, short, four volume shoujo manga series that focuses on a young girl Momono Tamako who, after about ten years, meets with her childhood friend who had promised to marry her if she became stronger. Of course, there must be a bit of a twist, so her friend, Inui Kanji, ends up forgetting about her and his promise...

Manga: The Garden of Words by Makoto Shinkai

The Garden of Words by Shinkai Makoto is a wonderful coming-of-age, slice of life, shoujo manga centers around a young first year boy, just starting high school, and a woman who has started to give up on life. Once these two meet, they start to change each other, preparing themselves for what lies ahead in their lives. I had to reread this manga to remember the details, like the characters' names, since it's been a while from when I last read it. The story is superb and it really moves you, making you sympathize with the characters and feel as though you're them.

Introductions are in order!

Hi everyone! This is probably going to be the most boring introduction any of you has ever read. My name is Jay. I’ve been reading manga and watching anime since I was a wee young’un and I want to be able to share my thoughts on everything. Not many of my friends are into the same genres I am so it’s a bit difficult to talk to them about something I’ve read or watched. This blog will just be my place to spitfire my thoughts and if you enjoy them, I appreciate it! I hope that you find my “reviews” entertaining enough to come back! I will be writing about the manga series in totality and anime by seasons, maybe in totality, we will see how things go. I’m going to try to post maybe once a week on Sundays. I want to try to be consistent  with that but I can make no promises due to the fact that I will be graduating school this semester and will be having a lot on my plate. Thanks for reading my intro and I hope you’ll come back for more!
